The following is a list, mostly of people, that come to mind as to what helped me back in the 90s get the motivation to form this site. At one time or another they facilitated the creation or growth of this site. Back in the 90s when the WWW internet was taking off there was information out there, but for certain topics, the information was slim. Also, many people were creating their own sites, and that's what left to me, with my interests at the time, creating this site in 1997. From there, the site has been moved around from place to place, and offline for years. This, "Thanks" page I created in the 90s, and it is a bit silly looking at it now, but I like to keep it around. It reminds me of some fun times!

AOL's Personal Publisher - For being so damn simplistic it forced me to learn and write some of my own html. It also forced me to look into other html editors to make certain things a bit easier on me. Sure, a person can use only notepad, but it does help to use an editor so work can be viewed real-time. I think after Personal Publisher there was AOLPress, which had more functionality. From there, it was Netscape Composer.

Belcherman - Helped me a bit with html questions, Quake, and Quake II. He introduced me to Quakeworld when I was still playing people modem-to-modem. I encountered this guy when I was looking for more DOOM players to play modem-to-modem. For those not in the know, this was back when there were none of these servers out there for DOOM. Multiplayer DOOM was pretty much only modem-to-modem or on a network. Multiplayer gaming used to be very different than it is today. Quakeworld changed that, when he told me I should get the new game Quake, since "Quakeworld" had just been released as a free update to it and it allowed multiplayer games, with many people, all over the world, for free. Quake, and it's free Quakeworld update changed multiplayer FPS games for good.

Also, this guy did host my site for a short period of time. During the 90s I used quotes from Mallrats and Half-Baked as insults to him and others in-game. He later watched Mallrats and Half-Baked. He found some humor in the films, as sometime after that, on his Quake 1 and 2 servers, he set it up so that when a player exited the server it would play the wav, "I'm somebody's Bitch!". This was played so all the other players connected could hear it. Just in an hour of play time on the server you could probably hear the exit wav play at least a dozen times. Also, "Sloppy Bitch" became an insult thrown around on the servers very frequently.

Brett - He had a website and gave me a few pointers for certain things on my site. His website was quite a bit more popular and the big draw of his site was the message board. The message board on his site was very active for a few years before he shut down his site sometime in 2002 or 2003. I met a few people from that message board and a number of people I am still in contact with in 2022.

Houdini/Daniel - He and his cousin's comments about my site. This guy also created his own Spaceballs website, featuring a page of quotes, film information, .wav files for download, etc. Spaceballs was, and still is, a rather popular movie, so he often had visitors leaving comments in his guestbook.

FoxGlove - Her encouragement with my site back in the 90s. While surfing the WWW she was one of the people I met through websites.

Graveside Home Page - For help and comments with my Lucio Fulci section. They were a company that sold all sorts of hard to find videos and whatnot, closed down sometime in 1999 or 2000. They found my site and sent me a few e-mails with information I could add to my website. They just decided to help out for the fun of it.

Mike - He used to work with video rental. He noticed I had an interest in horror films, and oftentimes the more obscure stuff. One time he heard that I was looking for the horror film, "Shakma". I told him I saw it once on cable TV, and it didn't air again after that so i had no chance to record it onto VHS. i wanted to see it again. None of the video rental, new video sales, or used video sales places had the movie. A few bootleg video places had never heard of it, either. This guy Mike, he told me he had a LaserDisc of it, and he'd copy it to VHS for me, for free, if I provide him with a blank VHS tape. I did so, and a week later I had a bootleg copy of Shakma. Even now, 2022, the film Shakma is a bit obscure, but I'd say it was even moreso back in the 90s. Shakma has since then received a Blu-ray release, which I own. So, after this guy provided me with my copy of Shakma, he gathered I was into the more obscure stuff and had seen a lot of films, however I was still not too knowledgeable about Italian Horror films. He pointed out certain films in the store I should rent, and later loaned me a some VHS tapes of films that the store didn't have for rent. That led to me being introduced to a lot of Italian Horror.

Persephone - When my site started out in 1997 she wrote a few film reviews for my site up until 1998.  Mid 90s internet was a fun time in that it was not too occupied or crowded, and people also seemed to be more friendly. There was a lot of good information out there on the internet, but it was still growing, and small websites were all over the place. I think i encountered her in a chat room someplace, she found out I had a site, and she was still getting her modeling career and whatnot going, so she offered to write a few reviews for my site. From what I gather her modeling career went well, and as of 2022 I am guessing she retired from that, for the most part.
